After 16 years in business The Underground was ready for a remodel that would expand and update their offerings. With the addition of 2,000 sq. ft. their commercial buildout needed to cover a larger overhead. Our design process modernized their systems, found efficiencies and solutions, and updated their aesthetics. Today, they are better equipped to serve their customers AND grow their bottom line.

The Underground is the oldest family-owned coffee shop in Midwest City, Oklahoma. After sixteen years in business their space was ready for a major upgrade. Their budget was tight, but this crew was ready to roll up their sleeves and make it happen. We helped the owners navigate what pieces they could DIY and what they needed to hire out. Not only did we provide architectural plans and layouts, but also navigated permitting, city code requirements, family therapy sessions (just keeping it real!), and the transition into construction.
With the addition of 2,000 sq ft The Underground needed to ensure their expansion would cover a larger overhead. We put on our business/leasing hats and brainstormed ideas on how they could maximize their footprint. From advice on leasing, structure and design, to basic business planning we helped them navigate opening the first coworking space in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Over the last decade The Underground has cultivated a true community atmosphere — a legacy we are proud to be a part of.
